Stepping into freedom
recovery ministry

WHAT IS STEPPING INTO FREEDOM?
No matter where you've been or what you're facing, freedom is possible through Jesus Christ.
Stepping into Freedom is a Christ-centered recovery ministry offering biblical encouragement, practical support, and authentic community for those seeking healing from addictions, hurts, habits, and life's challenges. We exist to help those in recovery through faith-based 12-Step teaching and a solution-focused small group.
This ministry is for ages 18 and over. At this time we do not offer childcare.
Come join us for food and fellowship every Monday at 6:00 pm in the main sanctuary.

Addictions Recovery
Our addiction recovery group supports those who want to recover from drugs, alcohol, pornography, gambling, eating disorders and other process addictions.
SMALL GROUP GUIDELINES
The following five guidelines will ensure that your small group is a safe place.
-
Keep your sharing focused on your own thoughts and feelings.
-
There is NO cross-talk. Cross-talk is when two people engage in conversation excluding all others. Each person is free to express his or her feelings without interruptions.
-
We are here to support one another, not "fix" one another. This keeps us focused on our own issues.
-
Anonymity and confidentiality are basic requirements. What is shared in the group stays in the group. The only exception is when someone threatens to injure themselves or others.
-
Offensive language has no place in a Christ-centered recovery group.
Serenity Prayer
God, grant me the SERENITY to accept the things I cannot change, the COURAGE to change the things I can, and the WISDOM to know the difference. LIVING one day at a time, ENJOYING one moment at a time; ACCEPTING hardship as a pathway to peace; taking, as Jesus did, this sinful world as it is, not as I would have it; TRUSTING that You will make all things right if I SURRENDER to Your will; so that I may be reasonably Joyful in this life and eternally Joyful with You forever in the next. Amen.
